Student Drop-Off and Pickup Procedures

  • Please only drop-off and pickup students in the designated green areas indicated on the following maps.
  • While dropping-off students vehicles should pull forward in the pickup line as far as possible.
  • Don’t stop in the middle of the street to drop-off or pickup a student, rather, circle back around to get in line or use the pawnshop parking lot on the southside of the school. Impeding the flow of traffic can lead to a citation, as it violates ordinance 11.24.010.
  • Parents should NOT park along the street for a duration longer than what it takes to drop-off or pickup their student. If additional time is needed please utilize the south parking lot.
  • Students should NOT be dropped off or picked up in bus zones. Busses are either loading or unloading kids or they’re waiting to be able to pull up to the bus zone.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Stay Connected with Your Child's Education: Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences are a valuable opportunity for parents and guardians to stay actively involved in their child's academic journey. These conferences provide a dedicated time to discuss your child's progress, review assignments, and gain insights into their strengths and areas for growth. It’s also a chance to learn about upcoming projects, classroom goals, and how to support your child's learning at home.

Most importantly, Parent-Teacher Conferences help strengthen the vital connection between home and school. By working together with teachers, parents can ensure their child receives the support they need to succeed both academically and socially.

We encourage all parents to take advantage of this opportunity to engage with their child's teachers and be a part of their educational experience.

Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, October 15th** | 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday, October 16th** | 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Thursday, October 17th** | 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

We look forward to partnering with you to support your child's success this school year!

Volunteering

Parents, caregivers and other relatives wanting to volunteer in the school or for field trips are required to register every year as a volunteer. Visit the Volunteer Registration page to complete your annual registration.

Grades and Progress Reports

Stay Informed: Quarterly Progress Reports and Regular Grade Updates

At Hamilton Middle School, parent involvement is crucial to student success, and reviewing progress reports is a key part of staying connected to your child's academic journey. Progress reports are provided at the end of each quarter, offering insights into your child’s performance, strengths, and areas for improvement.

Additionally, teachers will be updating grades at a minimum of every two weeks throughout the school year, ensuring parents have an up-to-date view of their child’s progress. We encourage you to regularly log in to ParentVue for real-time access to your child's grades and assignments as they are updated.

Reviewing these reports and discussing them with your student is an excellent way to celebrate achievements, set goals, and address any challenges early on. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact your student’s teacher for additional support.
